Johann Kuprinaoff

Johann Kuprianoff (born December 7, 1904 in St. Petersburg , † January 31, 1971 in Karlsruhe ) was a German engineer in the field of food technology .

After graduating from high school in St. Petersburg, he studied at the Technical University in Karlsruhe . There he received his doctorate in 1931. He then worked as a senior engineer for the Robert Bosch company in Stuttgart. From 1946 he was deputy director, from 1948 director of the Federal Research Institute for Fresh Food .

From 1948 he taught as an honorary professor at the TH Karlsruhe. In 1961 he was accepted as a full member of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences .

One of Kuprianoff's granddaughters is opera singer Valentina Stadler .
