Marcus Schaile

Marcus Schaile (born December 11, 1962 ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been the mayor of the Rhineland-Palatinate district town of Germersheim since 2010 .

Life

Marcus Schaile is a business economist and worked for the AOK , where he was department head. At the city of Germersheim he was a city council member and since 2002 full-time 1st alderman.

Since 2009 he has been a member of the district council of the district of Germersheim . There he has been chairman of the audit committee since 2014.

Marcus Schaile is the father of two children.

Mayor's office

In the mayoral election in Germersheim in 2009, Marcus Schaile was directly elected mayor as the successor to Dieter Hänlein (CDU). Before his mayor's office, Hänlein was 1st alderman of Germersheim and Schaile was 1st alderman under Hänlein. Marcus Schaile took up his position on January 1, 2010. When he was re-elected in 2017, he received 74.94 percent of the valid votes with a voter turnout of 43.13 percent.
