Marcus Schlösser is a German basketball coach .

Life

Schlösser was the coach of the women's second division team MTV Wolfenbüttel. He brought Marlies Askamp , who was then playing in the major league in Bremerhaven, to Wolfenbüttel in 1989. Schlösser led the Wolfenbüttelerinnen to promotion to the 1st women's basketball league and there in 1992 to the German runner-up.

In the run-up to the 1993/94 season, he took over the coaching position at Wemex Berlin, which wanted to tackle the attack on the German top with an IT company as a financier. In 1995, Wemex became German runner-up under Schlösser's leadership. In mid-October 1995, Schlösser was given leave of absence from Wemex Berlin; the club president had previously announced that the team would be dissolved for financial reasons. Schlösser called the Berlin Labor Court, which found that the termination was ineffective and that a contractual relationship existed until May 31, 2000.
