Marcus TR Schmidt

Marcus TR Schmidt (born March 2, 1967 in Saarbrücken ) is a German manager and since October 1, 2013 the spokesman for the board of Reemtsma Cigarettenfabriken GmbH, Hamburg . In addition, since August 1, 2011, Schmidt has been General Manager of Reemtsma for Germany and Switzerland, responsible for sales and marketing in both countries.

Career

Schmidt studied business administration . He has worked for Reemtsma and Imperial Tobacco since 1992 with one interruption and has held various functions in Germany, Central Asia , Russia and the Ukraine . From 2007 to 2011 he worked for Imperial Tobacco as General Manager for Russia and Belarus , from 2004 to 2007 as Sales & Marketing Director for Ukraine and since 2000 as Marketing Director for Russia, Belarus and the Baltic States .

On November 4, 2011, Schmidt was also elected Chairman of the Board of the German Cigarette Association.
