Marcus Tesch

Marcus Tesch (born March 5, 1975 in Vienna ) is an Austrian choreographer , dancer, musical performer and teacher.

Live and act

Born in Vienna, he received his training at the ballet school of the Austrian Federal Theater. In 1993 he was engaged at the Vienna State Opera Ballet under the direction of Anne Woolliams.

In 1996 he moved to New York City, where he danced for Complextion, Zvi Gotheiner and Kevin Wynn, among others.

In Vienna he could be seen as an actor in the following musicals: "Rudolf Affaire Mayerling", "Hair" and "Joseph and the Amazing Technic Color Dream Coat" (all Raimundtheater in Vienna); “Aida”, “Jesus Christ Superstar” (all musical summer Amstetten ); "Footloose" ( Klagenfurt City Theater ). He was also for the United Stages Vienna in Beijing for a musical gala directed and choreographed by Kim Duddy, as well as twice at the Donauinsel Fest. He worked in the movie “The Phantom of the Opera” directed by Joel Schumacher and choreographed by Peter Darling.

In 1994 he choreographed his first work called “A Piece of Love, Hate and Madness” with dancers from the Vienna State Opera Ballet. "Innocent" followed in 1995. Both pieces were shown at the Akzent Theater. “Innocent” was also shown in the WUK and in the Dietheater Künstlerhaus, where he also created “When the time moves on”. He choreographs “Off Key” and “Never Be Over” for the Vienna State Opera Ballet at the Odeon Vienna. In London he choreographed the work "3 Course Meal" for the Urdang Academy, which was shown in the Cochrane Theater.

He choreographed the operettas “The Duchess of Chicago”, “The Tsarevich” (Volksoper Vienna), “Wiener Blut”, “The Bewitching Fräulein” ( KlangBogen Wien in Ronacher Wien ) and “Wiener Blut” (Stadttheater Klagenfurt) as well as the musicals “ Into the Woods "(City Theater Klagenfurt)," The Jungle Book "," The Last Show "(Renaissance Theater)," Cross the Line "," Lovers & Crazy "(Raimund Theater Vienna)," Alle Neune "," Casting "(Metropol Vienna ), “The Wild Party”, “Shakespeare and Love”, “Luxus-Revue”, “Casting”, “Vienna Calling” and “Reigen oder so” (Leonie Rysanek Saal).
