Mareike Nettersheim

Mareike Nettersheim (born April 6, 1983 ) is a German basketball player .

career

The 1.86-meter-tall indoor player went on a basketball hunt for TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen and BBZ 95 Leverkusen before moving to SV Union Opladen in 2001 , which at the time had just been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. Nettersheim played the following 17 years for Opladen (later renamed SG BBZ Opladen after the formation of a syndicate with BBZ 95 ), 16 of them in the second division. In the 2008/09 season she was promoted to the first women's basketball league with Opladen , and in the following 2009/10 season Nettersheim, who acted as captain, played with the team in the highest German league. In her only Bundesliga season she achieved an average of 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per encounter in 17 appearances. At the end of the 2017/18 season, Nettersheim, who was a professional educator, left the SG BBZ Opladen.
