Marek Antoni Nowicki (born March 5, 1953 in Siemiatycze ) is a Polish lawyer , diplomat and human rights activist . He is the chairman of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.

Nowicki was President of the Helsinki International Federation for Human Rights and Ombudsman of Kosovo between 2000 and 2005. He was a member of the European Commission on Human Rights from 1993 to 1999. In 2009 he was awarded the Order of the Rebirth of Poland .
