Tech N9ne
Tech N9ne ( pronounced Tech Nine ; born November 8, 1971 in Kansas City , Missouri ; actually Aaron Dontes Yates ) is an American rapper.
It sold over a million albums and holds the Kansas City SoundScan record for best-selling albums in a week (over 20,000).
stage name
Yates named himself Tech N9ne in 1988. When asked why he chose that name, he replied, “My name means tech number nine. Nine is the number of perfection. Pregnancy lasts nine months. A cat has nine lives. Three plus six are nine. 360 degrees (9 times 40) are a complete circle. Technique number nine means "perfect technique of rhyming". That's why you can hear me with Yukmouth , C-Bo and Lynch Hung. I've worked with 2Pac and with Spice 1 . I am asked by all of these people because I am well rounded. I was even at Eminem in his wake Show . You can hear me with every imaginable MC because I have the perfect rhyme technique. I am all in one. It's wonderful! ”At the same time, this is also an allusion to a rapid fire weapon , the so-called TEC-9 , because with his fast raps (also called chopper style ) he often raps as fast as it shoots.
