Marga López (born June 21, 1924 in San Miguel de Tucumán , Argentina as Catalina Margarita López Ramos , † July 4, 2005 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican actress.

Her parents were Pedro López Sánchez and Dolores Ramos Nava. She had six siblings: Juan, Miguel, Dolores, Pedro, María and Manuel. She made her debut in show business with her siblings as Los hermanitos López (The López siblings) as a child. In 1936 they traveled all over South America, including Mexico. There she met her future husband Carlos Amador , a cinema producer whom she married twice (1941 and 1961). They had two children together: Carlos and Manuel. In 1964 she married Arturo de Córdova , who died in 1973.

As an actress, López became a popular star in Mexican cinema after her film debut in the mid-1940s. She played, among other things, the female lead in Nazarin directed by Luis Buñuel . From the 1970s onwards, she mainly focused on television series and appeared in over 100 film and television productions by the end of her career in 2003. In 1993 López was awarded the Mexican Ariel de Oro Film Prize for her life's work.
