Margaret Erskine
Margaret Erskine († May 5, 1572 ) was a Scottish noblewoman and the mistress of King James V.
Life
Margaret was the daughter of John Erskine, 5th Lord Erskine and his wife Margaret Campbell . In 1527 she married Sir Robert Douglas of Lochleven . Her husband was killed in the Battle of Pinkie Cleugh (1547). During their marriage, Margaret Erskine was the mistress of King James V (1512–1542).
