Margaret Klare

Margaret Klare (born October 5, 1932 in Essen ) is a German writer .

Life

Margaret Klare studied German and Romance languages at the universities of Essen , Bonn and Nancy . 1973 doctorate it to the University of Bonn with a thesis on Thomas Mann Doctor of Philosophy. She worked as a high school teacher and was temporarily based in Bad Honnef and Sankt Augustin . Today she lives in Essen.

Margaret Klare is the author of books for children and young people , poetry and radio plays .

Margaret Klare is a member of the Association of German Writers . She received u. a. The following awards: 1988 the Peter-Härtling-Preis , 1991 the Dr.-Theobald-Simon-Preis of the GEDOK Bonn, 1993 the Jan-Procházka-Preis for youth literature and 1995 the " Kalbacher Rattlesnake ".
