Live and act

Born in Lower Austria, she had both acted in the theater and stood in front of the film camera in Germany since the First World War . At the time of the early talkies, Margarete Hruby was occupied several times, after the seizure of power by Adolf Hitler she returned to Austria, to the capital Vienna, in 1934. At the beginning of April 1938, immediately after the annexation of Austria , Hruby emigrated with her husband, the actor Manfred Fürst , via Paris to the United States.

There she was de facto unable to get involved in acting and instead ran a so-called 'High-Class Dog Beauty Service' in Los Angeles during the Second World War - according to self-promotion with the service offered "Trimming, shearing, bathing" . After the war, Hruby and Fürst returned to Germany in 1955, lived in Berlin and Munich, and there both continued their acting careers, both in theater and in film.
