Manfred Fürst

Manfred Fürst (born April 15, 1895 in Danzig ; † August 20, 1973 in Munich ) was a German actor .

Life

Fürst has appeared as an actor in Trier , Wismar , Göttingen , Berlin and Hamburg since 1913 . From 1919 to 1933 he was engaged on various stages in Berlin, including the 1928 premiere of Bertolt Brecht's and Kurt Weill's Threepenny Opera in the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm .

In 1933 he emigrated to Paris , where he produced performances with German-speaking emigrants. In 1939 he went to Great Britain and became a member of the ensemble of the Little Theater in London . Fürst worked on series such as We Fight Back and played in the United States in 1940. In 1941 he went to Hollywood and later worked as a theater agent.

In 1955 he returned to Germany and lived in Munich until 1957. From 1957 to 1961 Fürst ran a film agency in West Berlin , from 1961 to 1963 he stayed in Buxtehude . Then he went back to Munich and in 1964/65 took on smaller roles at the Residenztheater , at the Münchner Kammerspiele and in radio and television productions.
