Margarete Verstegen

Margarete Verstegen (born June 12, 1929 in Emmerich ; † October 4, 2008 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school with the completion of secondary school, she worked for the city of Emmerich as an administrative clerk. Since 1952 she was a member of the Junge Union and joined the CDU in 1956. She was represented in numerous party committees, including as a member of the state executive committee of the CDU Rhineland. In 1961 she became a member of the German Employees' Union .

MPs

From October 28, 1969 to May 30, 1990, Verstegen was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . In the sixth electoral term she moved up via the reserve list of her party, otherwise she was elected directly via the state list.
