Marguerite "Margie" Mahoney-Richter (born May 12, 1952 in Anchorage , Alaska ) is a former American cross-country skier .

Career

Mahoney took part in the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo , Japan . She contested the races over five and 10 kilometers. She reached the goal as 39th or 36th. In the relay over 3 × 5 kilometers, she was not used. In the same year she won bronze with the relay at the Winter Universiade in Lake Placid . Her second Olympic participation was in 1976 . In Innsbruck , Austria she competed again in the 10 km race and finished in 43rd place in the end.

Mahoney graduated from Alaska Methodist University in 1975. After ending her active career in 1977, she worked as a cross-country trainer for several ski schools in her native Alaska.
