Alison Owen-Spencer (born January 5, 1953 in Indian , Alaska ) is a former American cross-country skier .

Owen-Spencer took part in two Winter Olympics. In 1972 she reached in Sapporo, Japan, over 5 and 10 kilometers, places 36 and 35. In the season she reached eleventh place together with Barbara Britch and Martha Rockwell . At the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid , New York , she finished 22nd on the individual distances of 5 and 10 kilometers. In the relay with Beth Paxson , Leslie Bancroft-Krichko and Lynn von der Heide-Spencer-Galanes , she finished 7th. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1978 , she ran 24th place over 10 km, 23rd place over 5 km and eighth place with the relay. In December 1978 Owen-Spencer was able to win a world cup race over 5 kilometers. At the end of this season , she reached seventh place in the overall World Cup. A year later the US champions over 5 and 10 kilometers.

Owen-Spencer graduated from Alaska Methodist University . She is married to former biathlete Bill Spencer . In 1978 she received the Finlandia Award for outstanding performance as an American cross-country skier.
