Margit Motzfeldt

Margit Koch Motzfeldt (née Petersen ; born February 19, 1945 in Frederiksberg ) is a former Danish - Greenlandic badminton player and teacher .

Career

Margit Petersen studied geology at the University of Copenhagen from 1963 to 1966 . While studying, she married the future Prime Minister Jonathan Motzfeldt (1938-2010) on December 18, 1965 , from whom she was later divorced. In 1979 she was hired as a part-time teacher in Nuuk , graduated in 1982 and was employed in Nuuk. In 1987 she moved to Midtgrønlands Gymnasium, where she was the rector from 1998 to 2007.

In badminton, starting for B-67 Nuuk , she won the Greenlandic Championships in women's doubles in 1981 and 1982 . She was chairman and vice-chairman of Grønlands Badmintonforbund . On June 24, 2004, she received the Nersornaat in silver for her many years of partly voluntary work for Greenland and its people.
