Margot Budzisch

Margot Budzisch (born as Margot Barth) (* 1935 ) is a German sports scientist and university professor .

Life

In 1968 she completed  her doctoral thesis at the Humboldt University in Berlin on the subject of "On the influence of the systematic and planned communication of knowledge in physical education on sports interests and inclinations". Between 1977 and 1994 Budzisch was professor for theory of physical culture at the Humboldt University. In 1979 she took over the management of the sports science section at the university, which she held until the 1980s. Among other things, she dealt with the “Contribution of physical culture and sport to the socialist way of life”, “Development and satisfaction of needs through physical culture and sport”, “Attitude formation in sporting activity”, the concept of performance, the relationship between personality development and top sporting performance , the "collective education in extracurricular and extracurricular sport", the "personality assessment in competitive sport", and the relationship between sport and Marxism-Leninism.

After leaving university, she published articles in the journal “Contributions to Sports History”, was one of the authors of the book “Doping in the FRG: a historical overview of a veiled practice” published in 1999 and the “Chronicle” published in 2000 of GDR sports ".
