Margot Lang

Margot Lang (born August 8, 1945 in Singen (Hohentwiel) , † 2006 in Cologne ) was a German writer , editor , publisher and artist .

Life

In 1947 the company moved from Singen to Frankfurt am Main. From 1959 she completed an apprenticeship and began working as a photo laboratory assistant and photographer. From 1970 she worked as a secretary, from 1974 as a lecturer in adult education. After graduating from high school in 1980, she began studying in Frankfurt am Main . In 1979, Lang had her first book published by Rowohlt Verlag, and from 1981 she devoted herself to painting with numerous exhibitions. 1986 followed the founding of a small publishing house (Margot Lang Verlag, until 1991) and the co-founding of the novel factory in Frankfurt am Main. From 1986 to 1998 Margot Lang lived in Rhineland-Palatinate, until 1993 in Dierdorf / Westerwald, then in Ochtendung and Rieden, from 1998 on Lang lived and worked in Cologne, where she mainly devoted herself to painting.
