Dorothea Minkels

Margret Dorothea Minkels (born 1950 in Bitburg ) is a German author of non-fiction books on the history of Prussia in the 19th century.

Life

Dorothea Minkels attended grammar school in Bitburg and studied chemistry and biology at Saarbrücken University and Mainz University . From 1972 to 2008 she worked as a secondary school teacher in Rhineland-Palatinate, Baden-Württemberg and Berlin. During this time she wrote didactic articles for educational journals such as Teaching Chemistry and Der Biologieunterricht .

Since 1998 Minkels has published on various aspects of Berlin's history in the period before and after the March Revolution in Berlin in 1848 . She has written articles in various periodicals focused on regional history as well as monographs on Friedrich-Ludwig Urban , Julius von Minutoli , Alexander von Minutoli and Elisabeth von Prussia as books on demand .
