Margrit Pernau
Margrit Pernau (* 1962 ) is a German historian .
She has been a senior researcher in the history of emotions at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin since 2008 and an adjunct professor at the Free University of Berlin since 2012 . Her main research interests are transnational history and interwoven history , historical semantics and translation research, Indian history of the 18th – 20th centuries. Century and the history of feelings.
Career
From 1981 to 1983, Pernau studied Middle and New History, History of Eastern Europe and Public Law at the University of Saarland . From 1983 to 1986 she studied the History of South Asia, Middle and New History and Public Law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1991 Pernau received his doctorate as Dr. phil. in modern history at the Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg. From 1993 to 1994 she was trained as an archivist in the higher service at the main state archive in Koblenz (practical part of the training). In 2007 he completed his habilitation in the subject of modern and contemporary history at Bielefeld University
