history

A miracle healing at Bründl in Hildprechting is documented as early as 1850. At that time there was a statue of the Virgin Mary and a small wooden chapel above the spring . On the basis of a vow made in 1885 by the landowner at the time, when her sick daughter should recover, to build a pilgrimage church , construction of the church began in 1900 after the daughter was healed. The pilgrimage church was consecrated in 1906. It is a church building in the neo-Gothic style. Over time, the church gradually fell into disrepair, and it was even threatened with demolition. This was prevented by a fundamental renovation with generous donations in 1966. In 1987 the church was rebuilt again and the original cave structure with the Lourdes statue was rebuilt.
