The Maria Protection Church ( Russian Храм Покрова Пресвятой Богородицы is German self-designation "Protection of the Mother of God") is a church of the Russian Orthodox Diocese of the Orthodox bishop of Berlin and Germany in Winterstein street in Berlin district of Charlottenburg the district Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf .

The community center was originally located on the first floor of an apartment building on Kulmbacher Strasse in Wilmersdorf and was too small for the rapidly growing community. On March 7, 2008, the new church building was handed over to Archbishop Mark of Berlin and Germany and parish priest André Sikojev . On the property acquired in 2007, the building was erected in the traditional Russian style over the foundation walls of a former daycare center. The gilded onion domes placed on October 13, 2009 come from the Kiev Pechersk Lavra . The church can accommodate up to 400 people. In the basement there is a sacristy , a wafer bakery and rooms for church events. As the cultural center of the oldest Russian Orthodox community in Berlin, the building also houses the community hall, offices, youth rooms, a music hall, library, kitchen and pilgrimage apartment.
