Maria Brylanka

Maria Brylanka-Liebig (* 1944 ) is a Polish violinist .

Brylanka studied with Irena Dubiska at the Warsaw Music Academy until 1967 . She was a prizewinner at the 5th International Wieniawski Violin Competition in Poznan and performed at Warsaw Autumn . From 1968 to 2004 she was first concertmaster in the orchestra of the Warsaw National Opera . In 1967 she founded the Grażyna Bacewicz String Quartet, of which her husband Zbigniew Liebig was a cellist. With this she performed all over Europe, the USA and Canada, Mexico, Bolivia, Peru and Colombia.
