Maria Christine Jachs

Maria Christine Jachs (born December 29, 1956 in Freistadt ) is a former member of the Upper Austrian state parliament ( ÖVP , 1997 to 2015).

Life

After attending the elementary and secondary school in Rainbach im Mühlkreis , she completed the school for economic women's professions in Freistadt. In her parents' business, she trained in rural housekeeping and passed the assistant and master craftsman examination.

From 1996 to 2013 she was a district farmer in the Freistadt district and between 1997 and 2015 she was a local councilor in Windhaag. On October 31, 1997 she was elected to the state parliament and stayed there for 3 periods until 2015. She was a member of the following committees: Social Committee; Committee on Women's Affairs; Immunity and Incompatibility Committee and the EU Affairs Committee.

She is currently the district chairwoman of the relief organization Freistadt . The farmer is married, has four daughters and one son and lives in Windhaag near Freistadt .
