Maria Duncker
Maria Duncker (born February 6, 1963 in Helsinki , Finland ) is a Finnish artist .
Life
Duncker attended the College of Art and Design , which is part of Aalto University in the Finnish capital. Her studies there from 1985 to 1988 concentrated on the subject of ceramics . From 1988 to 1992 she studied sculpture and mixed media at the Academy of Arts, Helsinki .
Today Duncker is known for her solo and group exhibitions with sculptures , installations and photographs , action art and videos on a wide variety of topics. In 2008 she was a candidate for the Ars Fennica Prize .
In 2014, her short film Pam Pam , made in 2013, was shown at the International Women's Film Festival Dortmund / Cologne in Dortmund .
