Princess Maria Fortunata d'Este-Modena ( French Marie Fortunée d'Este-Modène ) (born July 15, 1734 in Modena , † September 21, 1803 in Venice ) was an Italian princess and by marriage Countess de la Marche and the last princess de Conti.

Life

Maria Fortunata was the fourth daughter of ten children of Duke Francesco III. d'Este of Modena and his wife, Princess Charlotte Aglaé of Orléans , fourth daughter of Duke Philip II of Orléans and his wife Françoise Marie of Bourbon-Blois .

On February 27, 1759, Princess Maria Fortunata was in Nangis with Louis François II. De Bourbon, prince de Conti (1734-1814), the only legitimate son of Louis François I de Bourbon, prince de Conti and his wife Princess Louise Diane d'Orléans , married. The marriage remained childless and the couple separated in 1775.
