Maria Grapini
Maria Grapini (born November 7, 1954 in Bereşti - Galați ) is a Romanian politician of the Partidul Puterii Umaniste .
Life
In the Second Ponta Cabinet Grapini served as tourism minister. Grapini has been a member of the European Parliament since 2014 . There she is a member of the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection and of the Delegation for relations with the Korean Peninsula.
Grapini did not participate in the merger of the Partidul Conservator to form Alianța Liberalilor și Democraților (ALDE) in June 2015. Instead, she and others founded the Partidul Puterii Umaniste (Party of Humanist Force), of which she became vice-chairman.
