Maria Klemens Philipp Feldmann

Maria Klemens Philipp Feldmann (* March 24, 1885 - June 15, 1971 ) was bishop of the Old Catholic Church of the Mariavites in Poland from May 29, 1935 to July 31, 1942 and successor to Jan Maria Michał Kowalski .

Feldmann was one of the first supporters of the Mariavites. He was one of the first six deacons to be ordained on August 15, 1914 in Płock . He was ordained bishop on March 28, 1929, and in 1935 the Synod of the Mariavites elected him to succeed Jan Maria Michał Kowalski .

As an ethnic German , he was forbidden by the National Socialists to lead the Mariavites in Poland, he had to leave the country and was appointed parish administrator of the old Catholic parish in Blumberg on August 1, 1942 . The Mariavites regard him as a bishop until 1945.

In 1957 he returned to Poland and settled in Płock. For many years he edited the monthly magazine Mariavita . After his death in 1971 he was buried in the Cathedral of the Mariavites in Płock.
