Maria Maul

Maria Maul FMA (born February 18, 1964 in Graz ) is an Austrian nun and since March 25, 2014 the provincial superior of the Don Bosco sisters in the newly established Austro-German province with its seat in Munich .

Life

Maria Maul studied combined religious education and German philology after graduating from high school . Then she decided to become a Don Bosco sister. There she initially worked as a teacher at the educational institute for kindergarten pedagogy at the Don Bosco schools in Vöcklabruck . In 1999 she took over the management of this school branch.

In addition to this work, she studied Catholic theology and finally did her doctorate in church history at the Philosophical-Theological University Benediktbeuern .

Before her appointment, she had been provincial councilor for the Austrian Province for a good eight years.

With her appointment as Provincial, she succeeds her two predecessors, Sister Petra Egeling (Munich) and Sister Maria Maxwald (Salzburg).
