Grønvoll made her debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in March 2008 in Drammen , where she reached 51st place in the sprint. She achieved her first World Cup points with her third start in the World Cup in February 2011 in Drammen with 18th place in the sprint. Grønvoll achieved further points in World Cup sprints in Düsseldorf in December 2011 with 25th place, in Milan in February 2012 with 27th place, 20th in March 2012 in Lahti and 17th in Québec in December 2012, in Liberec in January 2013 with 18th place and in Asiago in December 2013 with 30th place. In the Scandinavian Cup , Grønvoll won a sprint in Albu in February 2012 and one day later achieved second place over 10 km classic and earlier in December 2011 in Vuokatti over 10 km freestyle. In the overall ranking of the Scandinavian Cup she finished second at the end of the 2011/12 season .
