Life

Already in early childhood, the daughter of an official woke up to the idea of taking up the stage profession, because at the age of six, her striking talent for acting made itself felt.

She first took lessons from Julius Conradi , later Joseph Lewinsky supervised her studies and in 1884 she started her first engagement in Cologne. After a summer engagement in Ems in 1885, she came to Königsberg, where she worked until 1887.

She then came to the Deutsches Theater in Berlin as the successor to Anna von Hochenburger , where she stayed for three years. In general, a bright future was predicted for her. Despite the tempting prospects, she renounced the stage at the age of 21 and retired entirely to private life after her marriage to Georg Winter in 1890 .

Her further life is largely unknown. The divorce from her husband took place in 1939.
