Maria "Ria" Schwarzenbacher (born August 15, 1926 in Kitzbühel , † May 13, 2003 ibid) was an Austrian ski racer .

Life

Schwarzenbacher was a member of the Kitzbühel Ski Club . In 1941 and 1943 she became Tyrolean Youth Ski Champion and in 1950 Tyrolean Alpine Combined Champion . At the Austrian championships she took fifth place in the downhill in 1950 and 1952 . Schwarzenbacher also worked as a ski instructor .

She died on May 13, 2003 of longstanding lung cancer .
