Maria da Graça Carvalho
Maria da Graça Martins da Silva Carvalho (born April 9, 1955 in Beja ) is a Portuguese politician of the Partido Social Democrata and engineer .
Life
Carvalho studied mechanical engineering at the University of Lisbon . She is a Full Professor at the Technical University of Lisbon . She was Minister for Science and Higher Education in the Durão Barroso Cabinet and former Minister for Science, Innovation and Higher Education in the Santana Lopes Cabinet . Carvalho has been a member of the European Parliament since 2009 .
