Mariam Mamdouh Farid (born February 1, 1998 ) is a Qatari sprinter and hurdler who specializes in the 400 meter distance .

Athletic career

Mariam Mamdouh Farid gained her first international experience at the 2016 U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz , where she retired in the first round of the 200-meter run with 30.25 seconds . Two years later, she took part in the hurdles at the Asian Games in Jakarta , but could not qualify for the final there with 73.27 s. In 2019 she took part in the hurdles at the Asian Championships in Doha , where she retired in the first round with 70.33 seconds. Thanks to a wild card she was allowed at the home World Championships take up there and retired there with a new personal best of 69.49 s in advance of.
