Mariana Yampolsky (born September 6, 1925 in Chicago , † May 3, 2002 in Mexico City ) was an American artist .

After studying in Chicago and Berlin , she moved to Mexico City in 1944 , where she studied photography with Lola Álvarez Bravo . From 1955 to 1957 she organized exhibitions for the Taller de Grafica Popular (Workshop of Folk Graphic Artists, TGP). In 1958 she founded the art publisher Fondo with Leopoldo Méndez and other artists. In 1966 she co-founded a training center for foreign languages ​​at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional . At the Olympic Games in 1968 she participated in the cultural program.
