Marianne Matti

Marianne Matti (* 1929 ), real name Gertrud Dietiker , is a Swiss actress .

Life

Marianne Matti originally came from the Bernese Oberland. She grew up in Aarau and later took acting lessons from Ernst Ginsberg and Max Werner Lenz . She played at the Central Theater in Zurich , in the Atelier Theater in Bern and in the cabaret "Kikeriki" in Basel . She went on tour with the puppet theater "Holzöpfel", which stopped in many Swiss cities.

In 1948 she met Werner Koelliker in class, whom she married in 1952 and took him on a trip through France in the same year . The marriage lasted little more than ten years.

She stood in front of the camera for the first time for a production about Migros “Family M Junior” from 1953 by director Franz Schnyder . In the same year she applied as the first television announcer for Swiss television . She came under the last three; however, the choice fell on Rosmarie Burri .

Matti is best known for the role as Elisi in the Gotthelf films Uli the Knecht (1954) and Uli the Pächter (1955). In 1956 she played in the film Brave Heidemarie (original title "S'Waisechind vo Engelberg").

She later worked as a speech therapist and now lives in Bremgarten AG .
