Marianne Noack (born October 5, 1951 in Rostock , after marriage to Marianne Paulick ) is a former German gymnast who was part of the GDR national team from 1967 to 1972. She started for the SC Empor Rostock .

Career

Marianne Noack stood out at the youth championship in 1966 with a flick-flick on the balance beam. At the European Championships in 1967 she was nominated as a substitute gymnast. As third in the GDR championship in the all-around competition in 1968, she was part of the GDR squad at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico. Maritta Bauerschmidt , Karin Janz , Marianne Noack, Magdalena Schmidt , Ute Starke and Erika Zuchold took third place behind the ranks from the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia. In the individual ranking, Marianne Noack took 27th place in the all-around competition. In 1969 Marianne Noack won her only GDR championship in horse jumping. In the all-around competition she took third place in 1969 and 1970. The 1970 World Cup took place in Ljubljana. The GDR squad with Angelika Hellmann , Karin Janz, Marianne Noack, Richarda Schmeißer , Christine Schmitt and Erika Zuchold won silver behind the Soviet gymnasts. As eleventh of the all-around event, Marianne Noack could not qualify for any device finals. In 1972 Noack took third place on the balance beam at the GDR championship.

After her career, she completed a sports degree and trained the gymnasts at SC Cottbus .
