Marianne Williamson
Marianne Deborah Williamson (born July 8, 1952 in Houston , Texas ) is an American spiritual teacher, author, entrepreneur, and activist. She published twelve books, many of which became bestsellers .
Williamson tried to run as an Independent for the United States Congress in California in 2014 and finished fourth in the primary in the 33rd Congressional District with 13% . On January 19, 2019, she announced her candidacy for the 2020 presidential election in the United States , this time for the Democratic Party . On January 10, 2020, she announced that she was giving up her candidacy.
