Marie-Josée Jacobs (born January 22, 1950 in Marnach ) is a Luxembourg politician .

Life

Jacobs is a member of the Christian Trade Union Confederation Luxembourg (Lëtzebuerger Chrëschtleche Trade Union Bond - LCGB). She became a member of the conservative Christian Social People's Party (Chrëschtlech Sozial Vollekspartei - CSV). In 1984 Jacobs was elected for the first time as a member of the parliament of Luxembourg ( Chambre des Députés ) and was re-elected in the following parliamentary elections. Jacobs was a minister in the Luxembourg government cabinet for 14 years. Until 2013 she was responsible for the departments family, integration, development cooperation and humanitarian measures. She is currently President of the Fondation Caritas Luxembourg .
