Marie-Luise Hemme

Marie-Luise Hemme (born January 23, 1949 in Verden ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1998 to 2008 she was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . She is married and has two kids.

education and profession

After graduating from high school, Hemme studied law in Hamburg and Würzburg. She then worked as a housewife until she was elected to the state parliament.

politics

Hemme has been a member of the SPD since 1990. She was the chairwoman of the Nienburg local association. From 1991 to 2011 she was a member of the city council of Nienburg and was vice-chairwoman of the local SPD parliamentary group and chairwoman of the school committee. From 1998 to 2008 she was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament and spokeswoman for women's and family policy in her parliamentary group.

Other activities and memberships

Hemme is a member of the women's committee of SoVD Lower Saxony. She is also a member of IG mining, chemistry, energy , workers' welfare , friends of nature and the German Child Protection Association .
