Marie-Thérèse Naessens

Marie-Thérèse Naessens (born May 12, 1939 in Nokere ) is a former Belgian cyclist .

Marie-Thérèse Nassens stood on the podium three times at cycling world championships: in 1960 she became vice world champion in the single pursuit in Leipzig , and in 1961 third in the same discipline. In 1962 she was third in road racing at the World Road Championships . In 1964 she was third in the Belgian road championship, in 1965 second.

In 1999 Naessens hit the headlines when, at the age of 60, she made a 1400-kilometer bike tour through South Africa .
