Marienborg is a manor house in Denmark . The property serves as the summer residence of the Danish Prime Minister .

Marienborg is located about 15 kilometers north of Copenhagen on Bagsværd Lake in the municipality of Lyngby-Taarbæk , Hovedstadsområdet region . The property extends to 8.8 hectares.

In 1745 the mansion was built for the director of the Asiatisk Kompagni Olfert Fas Fischer. In 1795 it was acquired by Chamberlain Johan Frederik Lindencrone, after whose wife Bolette Marie the property is named to this day. In 1934 the lawyer and art collector Christian Ludwig David (1878–1960) bought the manor house and donated it to the Danish state in 1960 for representative purposes.
