Marian column (Apfeltrach)
The Marian column in Apfeltrach , a municipality in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria , is located north of the St. Bartholomäus church . The listed Marian column was made of red marble . Ten years earlier, in 1862, a wooden Marian column was erected at this point . There is an inscription on the base of the Marian column.
“In grateful remembrance of the happily passed times of war in 1870/71, this memorial dedicated to the love of St. Our Lady of the Appletrach congregation. / Erected in 1872 "
