Marietta Zumbül

Marietta Zumbält (* before 1987 in Stuttgart ) is a German opera, operetta, lied and concert singer ( soprano ).

Life

Zumbält completed her vocal training from 1987 to 1993 at the music academies in Essen and Hanover. Your teachers were u. a. William Reimer and Carol Richardson . She took master classes with Judith Beckmann , Eugene Rabine and Ingeborg Most . She was a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association (1986) and a VDMK prize winner. After graduating, she worked at the Brandenburg Theater .

From 1997 to 2008 the artist was part of the permanent ensemble of the National Theater Weimar . There she sang the great roles of her subject, including Mimi, Figaro-Gräfin, Marie in The Bartered Bride , Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier , Füchslein Clever Head in The Cunning Little Fox , Pamina in Die Zauberflöte , the title role in Luisa Miller , Michaela in Carmen , Freia and Wellgunde in Das Rheingold , Gutrune in Götterdämmerung , Ginevra in Ariodante etc. With the latter role she also shone on April 21, 2012 at the Ulm Theater .

In addition to her stage presence, the soprano is active as a lieder and concert singer. Her repertoire ranges from Renaissance to contemporary music, from one with chamber music (organ, piano or lute) to large orchestral accompaniment. Zumbält is u. a. permanent guest at numerous music festivals such as B. the Festival of Early Music in Innsbruck, the Handel Festival in Halle and Göttingen, the Brandenburg Music Summer. Her concert activities also took Zumbult to Israel, Hungary, Russia, France and Denmark.

Zumbühlt has been a lecturer in singing at the Liszt School of Music Weimar since 2009 .
