Marijn Poels (born July 10, 1975 in Meerlo ) is a Dutch filmmaker, documentary filmmaker and producer. Poels works as a freelance documentary filmmaker and produces films on international cooperation, human rights , social, political and economic issues. He produced the films Nothing About Us , The Voice of 650 Million Times One and the TV series L1mburg Helpt (2009 and 2012) and Route 2015 (2011).

The film Retour (2013) is a commissioned work by the Dutch regional broadcaster L1 about his cousin and professional cyclist Wout Poels , who fell at the Tour de France in 2012 and fought his way back into sport after serious internal injuries to his kidneys, lungs and spleen.

The filmmaker began his career filming tour documentaries and a few video clips for the Dutch punk band Heideroosjes.
