Berlin Independent Film Festival

The Berlin Independent Film Festival is a German film festival with a special focus on independent films , which takes place annually in Berlin and shows German and international productions and awards them in various categories. It was founded in 2010 and takes place annually at the same time as the Berlinale , but is a separate festival that is independent of the Berlinale. The venue is the Babylon cinema in Berlin. In addition to feature films and short films, the festival also shows music videos and documentaries. In addition to the film screenings, numerous films also offer question and answer sessions with those involved. One focus of the festival is on feature films that are the first or second work of the respective director.
