American Movie Awards

The American Movie Awards are an award gala at which film prizes are awarded in various categories. The first two awards ceremonies took place in Beverly Hills in 1980 and 1982 , and honored Meryl Streep , Warren Beatty , Clint Eastwood and Steven Spielberg , among others . The American Movie Awards resumed in Las Vegas in 2013 with an emphasis on independent films .
