Marijo Marić (born January 12, 1977 in Heilbronn , Germany ) is a former Croatian football player and coach .

Marijo Marić started playing football at ESV Heilbronn and VfR Heilbronn . Marić then played in his career for TSF Ditzingen, VfB Stuttgart (1996/97), SV Waldhof Mannheim (1997), VfR Heilbronn (1998), SSV Reutlingen 05 (1998–1999), VfL Bochum (1999–2002), the FC Carinthia (2002-2004), Arminia Bielefeld (2004), Eintracht Trier (2004-2005), SpVgg Unterhaching (2005).

Since the beginning of 2006 he has been under contract with VfR Aalen . There he suffered a herniated disc in November 2008 . On December 22, 2008, the termination of his contract at the end of the year was announced.

Marić founded his own soccer school in Heilbronn in 2010. At the same time, he took over in the spring of 2010 as a player-coach for FV Union Böckingen in the Unterland district league . In the first year he won the championship and the following year the runner-up. In 2012, the Union Böckingens football department was split off and transferred to FC Union Heilbronn .

On March 1, 2015, Maric became the sports director of SGV Freiberg Fußball , and on July 1, 2015, he also took over the coaching position of the league team as the successor to Ramon Gehrmann. After eight season games, he was released on September 21, 2015.

From 2002 to 2004 he played eight international matches for Croatia and scored one goal.
