Marina Hanke

Marina Hanke (born May 9, 1990 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council . Since April 2019 she has been chairwoman of the Vienna Women in the SPÖ.

Marina Hanke completed her studies in political science at the University of Vienna in 2012 .

Politics and functions

She began her political career in 2005 in the Socialist Youth Vienna. In 2012 she became its chairman. She has been a district councilor in Floridsdorf since 2013. On November 24, 2015 she was sworn in as a member of the Vienna State Parliament or a member of the Vienna City Council .

On April 6, 2019, she succeeded Renate Brauner as chairwoman of the Vienna SPÖ women. Renate Brauner became chairwoman of the nationwide women's organization of the SPÖ. Marina Hanke was the only candidate and is not related to the incumbent Vienna City Councilor Peter Hanke , who took over the finance and economics departments from Renate Brauner in May 2018.
